Wake up and look at the roses… with your nose!

Yesterday, Pippa (aged 2 and 2/3) and I were in our back garden enjoying a lovely early evening, when she pointed very excitedly to a flower bush and said to me, “Mommy, you come look at this with your nose!”  After having a good long sniff, I couldn’t stop smiling, and I thought to myself, ‘This is why we need a blog!’  These adorable Pippa-isms have been coming thick and fast for months now, and Miss Romilly is increasing in vocabulary and personality by the day as well.  There is only so much we can capture in our photo galleries.  A picture may be worth a thousand words, but that doesn’t mean you don’t need a thousand words, every once in a while.

This morning, I was chatting with a dear friend online, and Pippa was desperately trying to get my attention so that I would show her pictures of something on the computer.  After her first few attempts went unnoticed, she said, “Now! Now! Now!” in a loud and demanding voice.  I explained to her, “Pippa, you mustn’t shout at Mommy.”  She calmly leaned closer and cupped her hand to my ear, and whispered, “Now, now, now.”  I couldn’t argue with that!

I hope that this blog will keep moments like this from ever, ever being forgotten.
